We run a range of courses throughout the year, catering for different stages of faith and life.

Alpha

At some point in our lives, most of us ask a question like “What am I doing here?”. Alpha provides an opportunity to explore this and other “questions of life” in a relaxed and friendly environment, and to find out the Christian response to them. You will have the opportunity to express your opinions and ideas, and ask any question you like, alongside others who are exploring too.

Alpha is open to everyone, wherever you are on your spiritual journey and whatever your beliefs.

Spring into Studies

In the spring term we run a course for those who have attended Alpha or are newer to faith and looking to build on their knowledge and understanding of the Bible and Christian faith. Previous courses have included The Jesus Lifestyle course, Discipleship Explored and The Bible Society: Bible Course.

Baptism Preparation

We currently offer two opportunities in the year for youth/adult baptisms – a baptism service on Easter Sunday and a baptism and confirmation service in October. Prior to baptism, candidates meet with our clergy and/or youth pastor for X sessions covering ??? in preparation for the baptism.

For details of child baptism, please visit the Life Events Page.

Marriage Course

We normally run a marriage course each year.

This is a series of sessions (Cherish, Connect, Collaborate, Commit) designed to help couples invest in their relationship and build a strong marriage.

Parenting Course

We aim to run courses or one off events on the subject of parenting, often drawing on resources from Care for the Family.

Previous events have included Parentalk, Parentalk – The Teenage Years and Left to Your Own Devices – confident parenting in a world of screens.
