We are a relaxed, informal church and keen to make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
We understand that for some, walking through the doors is a big step in itself so we want to make this as easy as possible by giving you a taster of what to expect.

Accessibility
At Christ Church we are keen for everyone to feel welcomed, comfortable and like they belong, especially those with additional needs or who need extra support. When you arrive, our welcome teams are always on hand to answer any questions you may have or direct you in the right direction.
Both Northcourt Road & Long Furlong have their own car parks. At Long Furlong there are 2 disabled parking spaces by the front door and at Northcourt Road there are 3 disabled parking spaces – two near the church entrance and one near the Barn entrance. Both sites are also accessible for those using a wheelchair or walking aids and offer accessible toilets.
At Northcourt Road, our church building is furnished with padded chairs in rows of 5 or 6 and a centre aisle. If you require a chair with arms then please let our welcome team know on your way into the church and they will be able to find one for you. We have a main large screen at the front of the church and two smaller screens further back so those sitting nearer the back of the church still have good visibility of the information on screen. For those with hearing aids, we have a hearing loop installed in the church.
Frequently Asked Questions
When you arrive at either Northcourt Road or Long Furlong, head through the main entrance where you will be greeted by a member of the welcome team. We have a relaxed seating arrangement so you are welcome to sit anywhere. If it is getting busy, the welcome team will help find available seats for you. We may invite everyone to stand for certain parts of the service however if you are unable to or do not feel comfortable standing then you are welcome to remain seated.
We are an informal church so do not expect you to dress formally when attending our services. The majority of people tend to go for a smart-casual look.
Our services typically last between 60-90 minutes depending on the type of service. We aim to keep All In & Intergenerational Services to under an hour. Services including Holy Communion tend to run to nearer 90 minutes.
We welcome all ages into our services however if you are concerned about your baby making noise or need more space for your baby to feed or nap then we have some comfortable sofas in the foyer with a TV showing a live stream of the service at Northcourt Road. At Long Furlong we currently offer a space at the back of the hall for 0-4s to relax and play during the service.
We invite you to stay for refreshments every week after the Long Furlong service and between the 9:30am & 11:20am services at Northcourt Road. At Long Furlong the refreshments are served in the school hall (same room as the service) and at Northcourt Road the refreshments are served in the church hall (off the foyer). Refreshments are served in the church after the 6:30pm service except after a communion service. These times are an excellent opportunity to connect with friends, newcomers and enjoy a time of fellowship together getting to know each other.
